Spring / Summer Trends 2016

Image
When it comes to trends, I'm the sort of person who loves to see what styles are coming in, but I'm usually about a month or two behind... Typical me! However, recently I have been taking more of an interest as to what this year's fashion is going to bring, and I thought I'd share it with you. As far as I can see, so far there has been seven top trends which have stood out from the various fashion designers. The first one being silky/slip dresses and tops. The reason for this is because you will be able to just throw on one of these simple tops / dresses and it will make people think that you've actually made an effort when realistically it's taken you only ten minutes!       As a lot of you will have noticed by now, the 70s are back and in full swing. And for this spring and summer, it looks like it's not going anywhere! With the bell shaped sleeves, to the flared trousers and the platform boots, all the shops will have something from that era!    ...

Sales purchases...

Sales- people either love them and want to go into every shop or they want to stay as far away from them as possible! For me, whether it be online or in the shops, I can't get enough of them (however I think my bank account disagrees with that statement but heyho!) Since I received money for Christmas, and me being me, I just couldn't hold myself back when I saw that  New Look had a sale on, and I mean a proper sale. However, when I see the sale signs as I walk into the shop, I always try to tell myself that I really don't need any more clothes and that spending more money would just be stupid, yet without fail I manage to walk out with at least one item every single time.  Typical. But I thought that a positive of me buying so many clothes, would be to put them on here, just incase you're the sort of person who likes this kind of thing but doesn't like shopping? Who knows. So when I was in town yesterday, I managed to pick up five items in New Look. The first of ...

Prom, Lord of The Dance and new specs!

Image
Hello everyone,  How are we all? I do have to apologise for not having a post uploaded in a while but I do have my reasons aha! From my Prom which signified the celebration of the end of my school career to having the amazing opportunity to see Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance at the Playhouse in Edinburgh and of course my new specs! Prom, where do I start?! Well, our venue for this was at the Murryfield International Stadium in Edinburgh (home of Scottish rugby!) and I have to say it was definitely an amazing atmosphere! I couldn't have asked for a better night (apart from some air-conditioning which woulda be great!) but being able to spend time with my friends before we all go our separate ways, whether it be to Uni or in my case Germany! I have to admit that when it came to choosing a dress, I was driving both myself and my mum round the bend with my indecisiveness, which I have to admit is a regular occurrence... To begin with I wanted a floor length dress...

Body Positivity!

Image
Afternoon Lovelies, How are you? I know it has been quite a long time since I have been on here but that's because I have been doing my prelims and have been doing various dance shows so it's been quite a busy time!  But I thought that since I felt determined to write a half decent post, I thought I would talk about body positivity and self confidence and society etc... So let's get cracking shall we? (Before we get started, I'd just like to say that my computer was acting like a complete muppet hence why the layout has gone haywire!!) So, over the years I have become more aware of what society's vision of the "perfect woman" looks like... And it turns out, the vision can change every single year! One year it can expect you to be a size 6 with no curves to being a size 14 and being "curvy" but no actually having curves. Ummm... Society can you just make ...

Lifestyle / Fashion time!

Image
Hello everyone!   Guten Tag ! (Good day for those non German speakers!) I found writing the last post a lot of fun so I thought that I would do something similar but based on lifestyle and fashion. I have been doing these posts in between my prelim exams because let's just say, revision isn't my best friend! But anyways, let's get cracking...   One. What is your height? I am 5ft 10" and 3/4. Awkward I know. Two. Dress size / Shoe size? My dress size goes from a 14 to 18. It all just depends on which shop I buy from! The same goes for shoes, I can either be a 7, 7 1/2 or an 8. Three. Fashion inspiration? There are loads of bloggers who I have recently discovered and I love them all but I would have to say LoeyLane. Four. Heels or flats? Right. Just because I am tall, everybody automatically thinks that I would pick flats. But infact,  they'd be wrong. I absolutely love wearing heels and I think I probably own about...
