How are we all? I haven't been on here recently for many reasons, but the main one being that I just haven't had an interest, and that's okay. As it was my birthday only recently, it's become more apparent to me about how much things can change in your life, whether it be plans, family or career plans... “‎Though nobody can go back and make a new beginning... Anyone can start over and make a new ending .” Chico Xavier Hindsight is always a great thing, but if we hadn't made the mistakes / choices that we did, then we might not be in the position that we are now. One of the main things that I am thankful for and always will be, is my family being supportive as they are. They have shaped my personality and made me who I am today, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Yeah, we've had our ups and downs but shit happens, right? “The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can chang...

June / July Favourites!

Image
In amongst my rather busy working life, I thought I'd take the time to sit down and share my (what should have just been June but is now ran into July) favourites. I never really think about these things on a day to day basis, so why not take the time to do it now.     When it comes to makeup, I'm not the sort of girl who will spend a ridiculous amount of money just for a brand name on a product. Personally, the cheaper the better and that stands true in this case. I discovered this brand on Amazon a few months ago, and I love it. LaRoc is a beauty company which sells everything from eye palettes with 120 various shades to brushes to organisers. I currently own two eyeshadow palettes (summer and neutral shades), a blush palette and a contour kit. What I think I love most is that the quality is really good for only costing £4.99.           As you may have seen, there has started to become a trend of pin badges and iron on patches coming b...

Craigmount Pipe Band Ceildh!

Image
What a night this was! Heading home after a ten hour shift, to get myself dolled up and head out to the celebratory evening to support Craigmount High School's pipeband. The evening was held at the Capital Hotel in Edinburgh, and I have to say that the suite the event was being held in was lovely. They had gone all out on the decorations, for example they had lovely fairy lights and stunning candelabras in the centre of every table to putting blue sash on the chairs. I think in total there was about 80-90 people there to support the band, and with that amount of people, the members of the hotel provided a lovely three course meal plus tea and coffees to finish. The starter consisted of roast duck with brioche toast served with red current jelly, and it was lovely. The main course was chicken breast stuffed with haggis, sautéed potato, carrots, green beans wrapped in bacon with a whiskey jus on the side... (Yum). As for the pudding? Well, it was sticky toffee puddi...

Here's something new!

Evening all,     How are you doing this fine evening?  Big apologies for not posting much on here, it has been very stressful since we last spoke! Family members being in hospital so the blog had to take a back seat. But I thought that I should probably give you an update as to what is going on in my life at the moment! First of all, I have finished school for ever! EEEK! I have to say that my last day was quite emotional, saying goodbye to the teachers I have seen everyday for six years turns out to be a real tear jerker! But I think that it was also the realisation that I'm not going to be in the safety of the school and that I'm being thrown out into the big bad world - UH OH! However, there is an upside to going out into the big bad world. I have recently applied to become an Au-Pair (like a nanny) working in Germany! This has been a very big decision for me to make as I'd be leaving all my family and friends at home (but only for a year and...
